10-inch cinelifter motor
Xnova Cinelifter Line 3220
Xnova's Cinelifter Line 3220 for 10-inch rigs carrying heavy HD cameras, 155 g; the 700KV pulls 5,160 g on an HQ 10 × 5 three-blade on 8S, and the 490KV 5,950 g on 12S, in Xnova's tests.
- Cinelifters carrying heavy HD cameras
- 10-inch props on 8S (700KV) or 12S (490KV)
- Props on an M5 shaft
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 3220 motor drawn from Xnova’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are Xnova’s bench figures for the HQ 10*5*3 tri blades prop at 29.6 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 10% throttle.
- Max thrust
- 5,160 g
- HQ 10*5*3 tri blades prop, 29.6 V
- Weight
- 155 g
- with 30 cm wires; the same for the 490KV
- Peak current
- 67.0 A
- full throttle

What it pulls
Xnova’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the HQ 10*5*3 tri blades: 2,530 g of thrust, 20.7 A, 613 W, 4.13 g per watt.
On your quad
31.8 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 20,640 g with the HQ 10*5*3 tri blades at 29.6 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 10,120 g, 15.6 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

Bench numbers
On an HQ 10 × 5 three-blade the 700KV pulls 5,160 g at 67.0 A on 29.6 V, and the 490KV 5,950 g at 51.65 A on 50.4 V.
What to pair it with
Our reading of Xnova’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. Black, with red rings round the top of the bell and red cut edges on a ten-spoke top. (Xnova drawing, Xnova product photo, Xnova top photo)
- Bearings. Xnova says the motor has a big bearing inside; it gives no size. (Xnova product page)
- Shaft. M5 thread, standing 17.5 mm above the bell. (Xnova drawing)
- Base. 3.5 mm thick, with four M3 holes, opposite holes 19 mm apart. (Xnova drawing)
- Leads. 30 cm. (Xnova data list)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 700KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 10,360 | 1,209 Hz | 7,252 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 11,760 | 1,372 Hz | 8,232 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 15,540 | 1,813 Hz | 10,878 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 17,640 | 2,058 Hz | 12,348 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from Xnova’s published sizes: the 32 × 20 mm stator, 38.5 mm bell, 34.3 mm height, 5 mm shaft and 19 mm mounting circle. Anything Xnova doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
