  • 6S (1750KV, 1950KV) or 4S–5S (2550KV)
  • T-Motor 5-inch tri-blade props
Drawing the 3D model…

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2207.5 motor drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are T-Motor’s bench figures for the T5146 prop at 24 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

What it pulls

T-Motor’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.

At 60% with the T5146: 908 g of thrust, 13.9 A, 320 W, 2.84 g per watt.

On your quad

10.1 : 1

Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 6,541 g with the T5146 at 24 V.

At 60% throttle they pull 3,634 g, 5.6 times the quad’s weight.

All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What you get for $16.90

  • One-piece bell

T-Motor's Unibell: the bell is a single part, which T-Motor says makes the motor more durable.

  • Titanium shaft

T-Motor says the titanium shaft is lighter and more durable.

    Source: T-Motor product page

  • N52 arc magnets

Curved N52 magnets, which T-Motor calls more powerful. It lists them, with the titanium shaft and a total weight 2–3 g lower, as the V2's main upgrades.

  • Three colours

Sold in three colours; T-Motor's photos show blue, rose gold and grey.

What to pair it with

Our reading of T-Motor’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.

ESC
Peak current over 60 s is 35.7 A for the 1750KV, 39 A for the 1950KV and 38.1 A for the 2550KV. T-Hobby pairs it with T-Motor's V45A V2 4-in-1. (T-Motor spec tables, T-Hobby product page)
Props
T-Hobby recommends T-Motor's T5143S. At full throttle on 6S the 1950KV pulls 1635 g on the T5146, 1612 g on the T5147 and 1471 g on the T5143S. (T-Hobby product page, T-Motor test report)
Battery
6S for the 1750KV and 1950KV, 4S–5S for the 2550KV. T-Hobby suggests a 4S 1550 mAh or 6S 1300 mAh 120C pack. (T-Motor spec tables, T-Hobby product page)
Frame
5-inch quads of about 700 g on 4S or 720 g on 6S, per T-Hobby. Four M3 holes on a 16 mm circle. (T-Hobby product page, T-Motor drawing)

Inside the motor

A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:

  • Bell. One piece (T-Motor's Unibell), 27.6 mm across, with five spokes in the top that fork near the rim round a knurled hub. (T-Motor drawing)
  • Shaft. Titanium, 4 mm by T-Motor's table, standing 12 mm above the bell; the last 7 mm is threaded. (T-Motor drawing)
  • Magnets. N52 arc magnets forming 14 poles round a 12-slot stator, 22 mm across and 7.5 mm tall. (T-Motor spec tables)
  • Base. Four M3 holes on a 16 mm circle; three 20 AWG leads, 150 mm long. (T-Motor drawing)

How fast it spins

KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1950KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.

BatteryVoltsNo-load rpm (KV × V)Electrical frequencyESC steps per second
4S nominal14.828,8603,367 Hz20,202
4S full16.832,7603,822 Hz22,932
6S nominal22.243,2905,051 Hz30,303
6S full25.249,1405,733 Hz34,398

A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.

About the 3D model

A generic outrunner drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes: the 22 × 7.5 mm stator, 27.6 mm bell, 19.45 mm height, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything T-Motor doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
