5-inch FPV freestyle motor

T-Motor Pacer P2505

A light, wide-stator Pacer for heavy 5-inch, 6-inch freestyle and mid-range quads, 31.25 g with leads, in one 1850KV winding for 4S–6S; on T-Motor's 6S bench it pulls 1628 g on a 6-inch T6143-3 at full throttle.

  • heavy 5-inch and 6-inch freestyle, flow and juicy styles
  • 6-inch mid-range quads
  • 4S–6S
Drawing the 3D model…

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2505 motor drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are T-Motor’s bench figures for the T6143-3 prop at 25.14 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 30% throttle.

What it pulls

At 60% with the T6143-3: 994 g of thrust, 18.9 A, 469 W, 2.12 g per watt.

On your quad

10.0 : 1

Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 6,510 g with the T6143-3 at 25.14 V.

At 60% throttle they pull 3,975 g, 6.1 times the quad’s weight.

All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What you get for $24.90

  • 31.25 g

T-Motor calls it super lightweight: 31.25 g with leads.

  • Wide, short stator

T-Motor says the large-diameter stator lowers the motor's height and raises its efficiency.

    Source: T-Motor product page

  • N54 magnets

T-Motor uses N54 magnets, which it says give a stronger magnetic force.

    Source: T-Motor product page

  • For flow and juicy flying

T-Motor says it holds attitude precisely, with a linear throttle and fine low-throttle control.

  • Bench data at 4S, 5S and 6S

Thrust, current, RPM and power in 10% steps from 30% throttle on 5-, 6- and 7-inch props; at full throttle it pulled 1384 g on a Gemfan 7040 at 4S and 1512 g on T-Motor's T6143-3 at 5S.

What to pair it with

Our reading of T-Motor’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.

ESC
Peak current over 60 s is 47 A. T-Hobby pairs it with T-Motor's P50A 4-in-1, Ligpower with the F55A PRO II 6S 4-in-1. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test report, T-Hobby product page, Ligpower product page)
Props
T-Hobby says 5–7-inch props; Ligpower lists T-Motor's P49436 and T5143S. On the bench at full throttle it pulled 1330 g on the 5-inch T5143-3 and 1512 g on the 6-inch T6143-3 at 5S, and 1628 g on the T6143-3 at 6S. (T-Hobby product page, Ligpower product page, T-Motor drawing, specs and test report)
Battery
4S–6S. T-Hobby suggests a 4S 1550 mAh or 6S 1300 mAh 120C pack, for a take-off weight of about 700–720 g. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test report, T-Hobby product page)
Frame
Heavy 5-inch, 6-inch freestyle and mid-range quads, per T-Motor. Four M3 holes on a 16 mm circle. (Ligpower product page, T-Motor drawing, specs and test report)

Inside the motor

A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:

How fast it spins

KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1850KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.

BatteryVoltsNo-load rpm (KV × V)Electrical frequencyESC steps per second
4S nominal14.827,3803,194 Hz19,166
4S full16.831,0803,626 Hz21,756
6S nominal22.241,0704,792 Hz28,749
6S full25.246,6205,439 Hz32,634

A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.

About the 3D model

A generic outrunner drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes: the 25 × 5 mm stator, 30.4 mm bell, 15.3 mm height, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything T-Motor doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
