  • 6S (rated 6S–8S)
  • 7-inch props such as a 7040
Drawing the 3D model…

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2808 motor drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are T-Motor’s bench figures for the C7.5x4.6 prop at 24 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 30% throttle.

At 60% with the C7.5x4.6: 1,433 g of thrust, 18.6 A, 0 W, 3.25 g per watt.

On your quad

15.1 : 1

Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 9,796 g with the C7.5x4.6 at 24 V.

At 60% throttle they pull 5,732 g, 8.8 times the quad’s weight.

All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What you get for $29.90

  • Tuned for SPEC racing

T-Motor says it is optimised for 7-inch SPEC racing rules, with consistent power within the 13,000 RPM limit.

  • About 2.4 kg on 6S

    At full throttle on 24 V it pulled 2449 gf at 52.4 A on a T-Hobby C7.5x4.6, 2321 gf on an HQ 7040 and 2302 gf on a Gemfan 7035.

  • Linear throttle

T-Motor says the power curve is smooth and linear and the throttle responds faster, with better efficiency and heat handling for long training and racing.

  • ESC settings given

T-Motor recommends AM32 V2.19 or later with startup power 100%, timing 22.5, PWM 24–48 kHz and motor KV set to 1460, and warns that wrong settings may cause desyncs.

ESC
Peak current is 53 A for 1 s. T-Motor recommends its F55A PROII 8S 4-in-1 (T-Hobby's text names the PROIII), set as above on AM32. (Ligpower (T-Motor) product page, T-Hobby product page)
Props
T-Motor recommends a 7040. At full throttle on 24 V it pulled 2321 gf on an HQ 7040 and 2449 gf on a T-Hobby C7.5x4.6. (Ligpower (T-Motor) product page)
Battery
6S–8S; T-Motor's recommended setup uses 6S. (Ligpower (T-Motor) product page)
Frame
7-inch X4 quads, recommended within 2 kg take-off weight and no more than 4 kg. Four M3 holes on a 19 mm circle. (Ligpower (T-Motor) product page, T-Motor drawing)

Bench data

Redrawn from T-Motor’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor

A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:

How fast it spins

KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1300KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.

BatteryVoltsNo-load rpm (KV × V)Electrical frequencyESC steps per second
4S nominal14.819,2402,245 Hz13,468
4S full16.821,8402,548 Hz15,288
6S nominal22.228,8603,367 Hz20,202
6S full25.232,7603,822 Hz22,932

A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.

About the 3D model

A generic outrunner drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes: the 28 × 8 mm stator, 33.4 mm bell, 21.45 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 19 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything T-Motor doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
