Drawing the 3D model…

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2207.5 motor drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are T-Motor’s bench figures for the T-MOTOR T5147-3 prop at 25.2 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 20% throttle.

At 60% with the T-MOTOR T5147-3: 997 g of thrust, 17.6 A, 441 W, 2.26 g per watt.

On your quad

12.2 : 1

Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 7,962 g with the T-MOTOR T5147-3 at 25.2 V.

At 60% throttle they pull 3,987 g, 6.1 times the quad’s weight.

All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What to pair it with

Our reading of T-Motor’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.

ESC
Peak current over 10 s is 40.5–52.7 A depending on KV (49.3 A for the 1950KV). T-Hobby pairs it with T-Motor's F55A Pro III 4-in-1. (T-Motor drawing and specs, T-Hobby product page)
Props
T-Motor benched every KV on the T5147-3 and the GF51466-3; at 25.2 V the 1950KV pulls 1990 g on the T5147-3 and 1958 g on the GF51466-3. T-Hobby lists 5-inch props. (T-Motor test report, T-Hobby product page)
Battery
6S for the 1750KV and 1950KV, 5–6S for the 2020KV, 4S for the 2550KV. T-Hobby suggests a 4S 1550 mAh or 6S 1300 mAh 120C pack. (T-Hobby product page)
Frame
5-inch racing quads of about 500–520 g at take-off, per T-Hobby. Four M3 holes, opposite holes 16 mm apart. (T-Hobby product page, T-Motor drawing and specs)

Inside the motor

A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:

  • Bell. 26.8 mm across and 31.7 mm long with the shaft, gunmetal, with a staggered pattern of spokes in the top. (T-Motor drawing and specs)
  • Shaft. Titanium alloy: 5 mm where it leaves the bell and 4 mm inside, with 7 mm of M5 thread; it stands 12.3 mm above the bell. (T-Motor drawing and specs)
  • Stator. 22 mm across and 7.5 mm tall, 12 slots under 14 magnet poles (12N14P). (T-Hobby product page)
  • Base. Four M3 holes, opposite holes 16 mm apart, with a larger contact area; three 20 AWG leads, 150 mm long. (T-Motor drawing and specs)

How fast it spins

KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1950KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.

BatteryVoltsNo-load rpm (KV × V)Electrical frequencyESC steps per second
4S nominal14.828,8603,367 Hz20,202
4S full16.832,7603,822 Hz22,932
6S nominal22.243,2905,051 Hz30,303
6S full25.249,1405,733 Hz34,398

A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.

About the 3D model

A generic outrunner drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes: the 22 × 7.5 mm stator, 26.8 mm bell, 19.4 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything T-Motor doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
