5-inch FPV racing motor
T-Motor F50 2207
T-Motor's 5-inch racing motor: 28.56 g without leads, and 2136 g at full throttle on its 24 V bench with a T-Motor F5146 (2150KV).
- 5-inch racing
- 6S (24 V)
- 5-inch tri-blades with small to medium pitch
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2207 motor drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are T-Motor’s bench figures for the F5146 prop at 24 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 10% throttle.

What it pulls
T-Motor’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the F5146: 1,120 g of thrust, 17.2 A, 410 W, 2.73 g per watt.
On your quad
13.1 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 8,544 g with the F5146 at 24 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 4,480 g, 6.9 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.
What you get for $28.90
28.56 g without leads
T-Motor built it light to cut the drone's weight and rotating inertia for racing; the 2200KV weighs 28.36 g.

About 2.1 kg on 6S
At full throttle on T-Motor's 24 V bench the 2150KV pulled 2136 g on an F5146 and the 2200KV 2134 g.
Arc magnets, 684ZZ and MR84ZZ bearings
Black nickel-plated arc magnets and imported bearings; T-Motor balances it to within 3 mg and tests the windings' insulation at 300 V.
ESC settings from T-Motor
T-Motor gives start-power, timing and PWM settings for AM32 and BLHeli_32 ESCs to go with it.
What to pair it with
Our reading of T-Motor’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- Peak current is 54.8 A for the 2150KV and 56.63 A for the 2200KV. T-Motor recommends its F60A Mini 8S 4-in-1 (AM32). (T-Motor drawing, specs and test data, T-Motor product page)
- Props
- T-Motor recommends 5-inch tri-blades with small to medium pitch, such as its F5146. At full throttle the 2150KV pulled 2136 g on the F5146, 2100 g on Gemfan's 51377-3 and 1983 g on HQProp's MCK. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test data)
- Battery
- 6S, rated 24 V. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test data)
- Frame
- 5-inch X4 racing frames. T-Motor recommends keeping the take-off weight within 500 g, 800 g at most. Four M3 holes on a 16 mm circle. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test data)

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. 27 mm across, dark grey, with six spokes on the top, each forking near the rim. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test data, T-Motor product page)
- Shaft. 5 mm with an M5 thread; it stands 10.75 mm above the bell, 6.5 mm of it threaded. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test data)
- Magnets and bearings. Black nickel-plated arc magnets forming 14 poles round a 12-slot stator; 684ZZ and MR84ZZ bearings. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test data)
- Base. Four M3 holes on a 16 mm circle; 20 AWG leads, 150 mm long. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test data)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 2150KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 31,820 | 3,712 Hz | 22,274 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 36,120 | 4,214 Hz | 25,284 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 47,730 | 5,569 Hz | 33,411 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 54,180 | 6,321 Hz | 37,926 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes: the 22 × 7 mm stator, 27 mm bell, 18.75 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything T-Motor doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
