5-inch FPV racing and freestyle motor
T-Motor F40 Pro IV 2306.5
T-Motor's F-series 2306.5 for 5-inch racing and freestyle, in 1950KV for 4S–6S and 2400KV for 4S; on T-Motor's 6S bench the 1950KV pulls 1902 g on a T5150 at full throttle.
- 5-inch racing and freestyle
- 4S–6S (1950KV) or 4S (2400KV)
- T-Motor 5-inch tri-blade props
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2306.5 motor drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are T-Motor’s bench figures for the T5150 prop at 24.13 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

What it pulls
T-Motor’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the T5150: 895 g of thrust, 12.5 A, 302 W, 2.97 g per watt.
On your quad
11.7 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 7,609 g with the T5150 at 24.13 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 3,579 g, 5.5 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.
What you get for $25.90
9% lighter than the F40 PRO III
T-Motor says it cut weight in every part: the silicon steel sheet (1 g), a 12 mm titanium shaft (0.2 g), custom silicone leads (0.3 g) and pinholes inside the motor.

About 1.9 kg on 6S
At full throttle on a T5150 the 1950KV pulled 1902 g at 43 A from about 23.5 V; the 2400KV pulled 1448 g at 42.9 A from about 15.5 V.

Interlaced ribs
T-Motor says the interlaced ribs of the top and a new base design make it more durable, and shows a 100 N impact simulation of the bell.

What to pair it with
Our reading of T-Motor’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- Peak current over 60 s is 42 A for the 1950KV and 42.9 A for the 2400KV. T-Motor's full-throttle results were taken with its F45A ESC. (T-Motor drawing and specs, T-Motor product page)
- Props
- T-Motor benched it on its T5146, T5147 and T5150 tri-blades; at full throttle on 6S the 1950KV pulled 1768 g, 1857 g and 1902 g on them. (T-Motor test report)
- Battery
- 4S–6S for the 1950KV, 4S for the 2400KV; T-Motor tested them at about 24 V and 16 V. (T-Motor drawing and specs, T-Motor test report)
- Frame
- 5-inch racing and freestyle quads, per T-Motor. Four M3 holes on a 16 mm circle; T-Motor says the mounting holes are shaped to match frame arms. (T-Motor product page, T-Motor drawing and specs)

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. 27.9 mm across, dark grey, with a five-spoke star in the top round a knurled hub; the spokes' cut edges show silver. (T-Motor drawing and specs, T-Motor product page)
- Shaft. Titanium, standing 12 mm above the bell, with an M5 thread; 5 mm on the drawing, 4 mm in the spec table. T-Motor says its custom prop nut protects the thread. (T-Motor product page, T-Motor drawing and specs)
- Base. Grey, with four M3 holes on a 16 mm circle; 20 AWG silicone leads, 150 mm long. (T-Motor drawing and specs, T-Motor product page)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1950KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 28,860 | 3,367 Hz | 20,202 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 32,760 | 3,822 Hz | 22,932 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 43,290 | 5,051 Hz | 30,303 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 49,140 | 5,733 Hz | 34,398 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes: the 23 × 6.5 mm stator, 27.9 mm bell, 17.8 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything T-Motor doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
