2–3-inch toothpick motor
T-Motor F1203
T-Motor's 1203 for 2–3-inch toothpicks, in one 7000KV winding for 2S–3S; on 3S it pulls 193 g at full throttle on a Gemfan GF2020-4.
- 2–3-inch toothpicks
- 2S–3S
- 2- to 3-inch props on a 1.5 mm shaft
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 1203 motor drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are T-Motor’s bench figures for the GF2020-4 prop at 12.6 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

What it pulls
T-Motor’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the GF2020-4: 88 g of thrust, 4.5 A, 57 W, 1.54 g per watt.
On your quad
1.2 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 770 g with the GF2020-4 at 12.6 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 352 g, 0.5 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.
What you get for $14.90
Close to 200 g per motor on 3S
At full throttle on 3S it pulled 192.6 g on a Gemfan GF2020-4 and 157.8 g on a GF2023-3, drawing up to 10.85 A.
1.5 mm shaft and 9 × 9 mount
A 1.5 mm shaft with four M2 prop holes in the top, and four M2 holes on a 9 mm circle in the base; T-Motor says this widens the choice of props and frames.

Arc magnets
T-Motor uses arc magnets, which it says raise efficiency.

What to pair it with
Our reading of T-Motor’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- Peak current is 10.85 A over 60 s; T-Hobby recommends a 2–3S ESC. An ESC or AIO rated above 11 A covers it. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test report, T-Hobby product page)
- Props
- 2- to 3-inch props, per T-Hobby. On 2S the 3-inch G3018-2 pulled the most (165.5 g at full throttle) at the best efficiency; on 3S the GF2020-4 pulled 192.6 g. (T-Hobby product page, T-Motor drawing, specs and test report)
- Battery
- 2S–3S by T-Motor's spec table. T-Hobby suggests a 3S 550 mAh 75C pack, or a 4S 450 mAh. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test report, T-Hobby product page)
- Frame
- 2- to 3-inch toothpick frames, per T-Hobby, at about 130 g take-off weight on 3S. Four M2 holes on a 9 mm circle. (T-Hobby product page, T-Motor drawing, specs and test report)

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. 15.5 mm across; dark grey, with four spokes on the top edged in red. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test report, T-Motor product page)
- Shaft. 1.5 mm, standing 3 mm above the bell, with four M2 holes on a 5 mm circle round it for the prop. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test report)
- Magnets. Arc magnets forming 12 poles round a 9-slot stator. (T-Motor product page, T-Motor drawing, specs and test report)
- Base. Four M2 holes on a 9 mm circle; black 28 AWG leads, 75 mm long. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test report)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 7000KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 103,600 | 10,360 Hz | 62,160 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 117,600 | 11,760 Hz | 70,560 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 155,400 | 15,540 Hz | 93,240 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 176,400 | 17,640 Hz | 105,840 |
A 12-pole rotor has 6 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 6 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 36 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes: the 12 × 3 mm stator, 15.5 mm bell, 11.05 mm height, 1.5 mm shaft, 9 mm mounting circle and 9 teeth and 12 magnets. Anything T-Motor doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
