Drawing the 3D model…

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2814 motor drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are T-Motor’s bench figures for the Cine9.5x5x3 prop at 24 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 10% throttle.

On your quad

25.5 : 1

Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 16,568 g with the Cine9.5x5x3 at 24 V.

At 60% throttle they pull 8,908 g, 13.7 times the quad’s weight.

All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What you get for $65.90

  • Up to 4142 g of thrust

T-Motor quotes over 3.7 kg per motor at 24 V on its Cine8.5x5x3 prop; on its bench the motor pulled 3734 g on that prop and 4142 g on the Cine9.5x5x3 at full throttle.

  • Carries 1–3 kg of camera gear

T-Motor's recommended build carries 1–3 kg of cine gear. In the flight tests listed with its 8.5-inch X8 setup, a 4 kg take-off weight on a 6S 5500 mAh pack flew a 10-minute route, and 5.35 kg on a 6S 16000 mAh pack flew 20 minutes.

  • Steady in thin air and cold

T-Motor says its output stays steady at altitude, in humidity and in the cold, and that its quality control keeps the shaft from slipping.

  • Checked parts

Imported 685-ZZ bearings, nickel-plated arc magnets, rotor balance to 5 mg or less and a 500 V insulation test on the windings, per T-Motor.

What to pair it with

Our reading of T-Motor’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.

ESC
Peak current is 82 A; on T-Motor's bench it drew 82.2 A at full throttle on the Cine9.5x5x3. T-Motor pairs it with its C55A 8S 8-in-1 or F55A PRO III 8S 4-in-1 and an F7 PRO flight controller. (Ligpower (T-Motor) product page, T-Motor product page)
Props
T-Hobby's Cine8.5x5x3 in T-Motor's setup (3734 g at 70 A at full throttle). T-Motor also benched the Cine9.5x5x3 (4142 g at 82.2 A), Gemfan GF8060, HQProp HQ8045 and HQ9045. (Ligpower (T-Motor) product page, T-Motor product page)
Battery
6S, 5000–8000 mAh in T-Motor's setup; its flight tests used 5500, 8000 and 16000 mAh 6S packs. (T-Motor product page, Ligpower (T-Motor) product page)
Frame
8–9-inch X4 or X8 cinematic frames, with a take-off weight within 5 kg and 10 kg at most, per T-Motor. Four M3 holes on a 19 mm circle. (T-Motor product page, Ligpower (T-Motor) product page)

Inside the motor

A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:

How fast it spins

KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1100KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.

BatteryVoltsNo-load rpm (KV × V)Electrical frequencyESC steps per second
4S nominal14.816,2801,899 Hz11,396
4S full16.818,4802,156 Hz12,936
6S nominal22.224,4202,849 Hz17,094
6S full25.227,7203,234 Hz19,404

A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.

About the 3D model

A generic outrunner drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes: the 28 × 14 mm stator, 34.2 mm bell, 29.7 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 19 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything T-Motor doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
