T-Motor Cine66 2812

T-Motor's 2812 for 8–9-inch X8 cinelifters: 76.7 g, in 925KV and 1155KV, with up to 3299.21 g of thrust on T-Motor's 6S bench (1155KV on an HQ9030-2).

  • 8–9-inch X8 cinelifters
  • 6S (rated 4S–6S for the 1155KV, 5S–6S for the 925KV)
  • 8–9-inch props
Drawing the 3D model…

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2812 motor drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are T-Motor’s bench figures for the HQ9030-2 prop at 24.9 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 30% throttle.

On your quad

20.3 : 1

Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 13,197 g with the HQ9030-2 at 24.9 V.

At 60% throttle they pull 5,986 g, 9.2 times the quad’s weight.

All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What to pair it with

Our reading of T-Motor’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.

ESC
Peak current over 60 s is 54.5 A for the 1155KV and 50.5 A for the 925KV. T-Hobby suggests a 4–6S ESC; Ligpower's matching guide names T-Motor's C55A 8S 8-in-1. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test report, T-Hobby product page, Ligpower (T-Motor) product page)
Props
T-Motor benched both KVs on HQProp HQ8040-3, HQ8045-3, HQ9030-2 and HQ9050-3 props. On 6S the 1155KV pulled the most on the HQ9030-2 (3299.21 g at 54.52 A) and the 925KV on the HQ9050-3 (2922.81 g at 50.47 A). T-Hobby lists 8–9-inch props. (T-Motor drawing, specs and test report, T-Hobby product page)
Battery
6S in T-Hobby's setup (a 6S 5200 mAh 75C pack). T-Motor rates the 1155KV for 4S–6S and the 925KV for 5S–6S. (T-Hobby product page, T-Motor drawing, specs and test report)
Frame
8–9-inch X8 cinematic frames, about 3600 g take-off weight, per T-Hobby. Four M3 holes on a 19 mm circle. (T-Hobby product page, T-Motor drawing, specs and test report)

Inside the motor

A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:

How fast it spins

KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1155KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.

BatteryVoltsNo-load rpm (KV × V)Electrical frequencyESC steps per second
4S nominal14.817,0941,994 Hz11,966
4S full16.819,4042,264 Hz13,583
6S nominal22.225,6412,991 Hz17,949
6S full25.229,1063,396 Hz20,374

A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.

About the 3D model

A generic outrunner drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes: the 28 × 12 mm stator, 34.4 mm bell, 25.95 mm height, 19 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything T-Motor doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
