Drawing the 3D model…

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2003.8 motor drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are T-Motor’s bench figures for the DT76-3 prop at 24.04 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 10% throttle.

At 60% with the DT76-3: 380 g of thrust, 7.7 A, 184 W, 2.06 g per watt.

On your quad

4.4 : 1

Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 2,888 g with the DT76-3 at 24.04 V.

At 60% throttle they pull 1,520 g, 2.3 times the quad’s weight.

All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What you get for $30.90

  • Sealed against sand and dust

IP45, with a built-in shield that T-Motor says keeps sand, gravel and dust out, and an electrophoretic-coated core that passed a 72-hour salt-spray test.

  • For full-size GoPro loads

T-Motor pitches it for chasing motorcycles and skiers with a full-size GoPro aboard. In its flight test a 570 g quad with a 1350 mAh 6S pack and a 120 g load flew 10 minutes.

  • Fits many frames

The shaft screw doesn't protrude below the base, which T-Motor says lets the motor fit many frame types.

  • Bench data in and out of a frame

T-Motor tested three 3-inch props both on the open bench and inside an Oddity frame; at full throttle the thrust ran from 629 g to 722 g at 18.42–24.95 A.

What to pair it with

Our reading of T-Motor’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.

ESC
Peak current over 1 s is 25 A; on T-Motor's bench it drew up to 24.95 A at full throttle. T-Motor pairs it with its F7 45A AIO (6S) and suggests 40% startup power, 30° timing and 32 kHz PWM on BLHeli_32. (Ligpower (T-Motor) product page)
Props
GF D76-3 in T-Motor's setup. On its bench the HQ DT76-3 pulled 722 g at full throttle, T-Hobby's T76S-3 702 g and the GF D75-3 629 g. (Ligpower (T-Motor) product page)
Battery
6S. In T-Motor's flight tests a 1350 mAh pack gave 13 minutes at 450 g and a 3000 mAh pack 20 minutes at 564 g, both without payload. (Ligpower (T-Motor) product page)
Frame
Cinewhoop X4 frames, take-off weight within 700 g and 1000 g at most, per T-Motor. Four M2 holes on a 12 mm circle. (Ligpower (T-Motor) product page, T-Motor drawing)

Bench data

Redrawn from T-Motor’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor

A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:

How fast it spins

KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 2800KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.

BatteryVoltsNo-load rpm (KV × V)Electrical frequencyESC steps per second
4S nominal14.841,4404,835 Hz29,008
4S full16.847,0405,488 Hz32,928
6S nominal22.262,1607,252 Hz43,512
6S full25.270,5608,232 Hz49,392

A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.

About the 3D model

A generic outrunner drawn from T-Motor’s published sizes: the 20 × 3.8 mm stator, 24.69 mm bell, 16.9 mm height, 1.5 mm shaft, 12 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything T-Motor doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
