Drawing the 3D model…

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2207 motor drawn from RCinPower’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are RCinPower’s bench figures for the Gemfan 5136 prop at 24 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

At 60% with the Gemfan 5136: 1,204 g of thrust, 19.6 A, 471 W, 3.18 g per watt.

On your quad

14.3 : 1

Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 9,276 g with the Gemfan 5136 at 24 V.

At 60% throttle they pull 4,815 g, 7.4 times the quad’s weight.

All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What you get

What to pair it with

Our reading of RCinPower’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.

ESC
RCinPower rates the 1920KV at 55.8 A and the 2060KV at 59.5 A on 5S, and the 2060KV drew 59.5 A on its 6S bench. Use an ESC rated for 60 A per motor. (RCinPower 1920KV sheet, RCinPower 2060KV sheet)
Props
Tested on the Gemfan 5136 and 51466, HQProp R36 and R38, and DALProp T5148.5. On 6S the 2060KV pulled 2,191–2,496 g at full throttle, most on the Gemfan 51466. (RCinPower 2060KV sheet)
Battery
5S–6S for both KVs. (RCinPower 1920KV sheet, RCinPower 2060KV sheet)
Frame
Four M3 screws, opposite holes 16 mm apart (16 × 16). (RCinPower 1920KV sheet)

Bench data

Redrawn from RCinPower’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor

A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:

  • Shaft. 4 mm hollow; 5 mm across the thread, which stands 12.3 mm above the bell. (RCinPower 1920KV sheet)
  • Stator. The coils are wound on a stack of thin steel laminations: 22 × 7 mm (2207) (from the 2207 in the name; the spec tables give no stator size). (RCinPower 1920KV sheet)
  • Base. 4 × M3 holes, opposite holes 16 mm apart (16 × 16). (RCinPower 1920KV sheet)

How fast it spins

KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1920KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.

BatteryVoltsNo-load rpm (KV × V)Electrical frequencyESC steps per second
4S nominal14.828,4163,315 Hz19,891
4S full16.832,2563,763 Hz22,579
6S nominal22.242,6244,973 Hz29,837
6S full25.248,3845,645 Hz33,869

A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.

About the 3D model

A generic outrunner drawn from RCinPower’s published sizes: the 22 × 7 mm stator, 28.1 mm bell, 18.8 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything RCinPower doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
