1S tiny whoop motor

RCinPower GTS V3 1002

A 2.5 g motor for 1S whoops on 65–75 mm frames: a 10 × 2 mm stator on two bearings and a 1.5 mm shaft, pulling up to 93 g per motor on RCinPower's 3.7 V bench (22000KV, Gemfan 2015).

  • 1S tiny whoops on 65–75 mm frames
  • 1S (19000KV, 22000KV) or 2S (14000KV)
  • 40 mm and 2-inch props
Drawing the 3D model…

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 1002 motor drawn from RCinPower’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are RCinPower’s bench figures for the Gemfan 2015, 2-blade prop at 3.7 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

At 60% with the Gemfan 2015, 2-blade: 54 g of thrust, 5.0 A, 18 W, 3.18 g per watt.

On your quad

0.6 : 1

Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 372 g with the Gemfan 2015, 2-blade at 3.7 V.

At 60% throttle they pull 215 g, 0.3 times the quad’s weight.

All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What you get

  • 2.5 g with leads

RCinPower lists 2.5 g with 5 cm leads and says it gives more power than a typical 0802 or 1102.

  • Two bearings

A dual-bearing design, which RCinPower says keeps the structure stable.

    Source: RCinPower product page

  • Leads on solder pads

The leads leave the stator through a solder pad, so a broken lead no longer means a scrapped stator. A 1.25 mm plug is fitted.

  • Bench data for every KV

Five Gemfan props per KV, at 7.4 V for the 14000KV and 3.7 V for the others, with the temperature after 3 s at full throttle.

What to pair it with

Our reading of RCinPower’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.

ESC
The highest currents on RCinPower's bench are 14 A (22000KV), 11.8 A (19000KV) and 9 A (14000KV), all with the Gemfan 2023 three-blade. With 40 mm props the 22000KV draws 7.9–10.4 A. (RCinPower product sheet)
Props
RCinPower tested 40 mm Gemfan 1610 (2-blade) and 1635 (3- and 4-blade), and 2-inch Gemfan 2015 (2-blade) and 2023 (3-blade). The 2015 pulled the most on every KV; the 2023 ran hottest (80–84 °C). (RCinPower product sheet)
Battery
1S for the 19000KV and 22000KV. The 14000KV is rated 1S–2S and was tested on 2S (7.4 V). (RCinPower product page, RCinPower product sheet)
Frame
Three M1.4 screws on a 6.6 mm circle; RCinPower lists it for 65–75 mm frames. (RCinPower product page)

Bench data

Redrawn from RCinPower’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor

A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:

How fast it spins

KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 22000KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.

BatteryVoltsNo-load rpm (KV × V)Electrical frequencyESC steps per second
4S nominal14.8325,60032,560 Hz195,360
4S full16.8369,60036,960 Hz221,760
6S nominal22.2488,40048,840 Hz293,040
6S full25.2554,40055,440 Hz332,640

A 12-pole rotor has 6 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 6 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 36 times per turn.

About the 3D model

A generic outrunner drawn from RCinPower’s published sizes: the 10 × 2 mm stator, 13.5 mm bell, 7.75 mm height, 1.5 mm shaft, 6.6 mm mounting circle and 9 teeth and 12 magnets. Anything RCinPower doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
