2–3-inch toothpick FPV motor
RCinPower GTS V2 1202.5
A 3.9 g motor for small whoops and toothpicks on 1.6–3-inch props, with a one-piece 7075 bell, pulling up to 227 g per motor on RCinPower's 7.4 V bench (11500KV, HQProp T65 mm).
- 2–3-inch toothpicks and small whoops
- 1S–2S (11500KV) or 3S–4S (6000KV)
- 1.6–3-inch props
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 1202.5 motor drawn from RCinPower’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are RCinPower’s bench figures for the HQProp T65 mm prop at 7.4 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

What it pulls
RCinPower’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the HQProp T65 mm: 117 g of thrust, 5.2 A, 38 W, 3.26 g per watt.
On your quad
1.4 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 908 g with the HQProp T65 mm at 7.4 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 466 g, 0.7 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What to pair it with
Our reading of RCinPower’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- The 11500KV peaked at 12 A on 2S (HQProp T65 mm, 85 °C) and drew 4.9–8.4 A on 1S. The 6000KV stayed at or under 6.3 A up to 4S. (RCinPower product sheet)
- Props
- RCinPower tested 65 mm props (Gemfan 65 mm, HQProp T65 mm) and 3-inch props (HQProp T3 × 2, Gemfan GF3108). On 1S the 3-inch props pulled more than the 65 mm ones. (RCinPower product sheet)
- Battery
- 1S–2S for the 11500KV, 3S–4S for the 6000KV. (RCinPower product page)
- Frame
- Four M2 screws, opposite holes 9 mm apart. (RCinPower product sheet)

Bench data
Redrawn from RCinPower’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. One piece of 7075 aluminium with a three-spoke top; four M2 holes in the top, opposite holes 5 mm apart, sit around the shaft. (RCinPower product sheet)
- Shaft. 1.5 mm where it leaves the bell and 4.7 mm long above it; RCinPower's spec table gives the shaft as 2 mm. (RCinPower product sheet)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 11500KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 170,200 | 17,020 Hz | 102,120 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 193,200 | 19,320 Hz | 115,920 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 255,300 | 25,530 Hz | 153,180 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 289,800 | 28,980 Hz | 173,880 |
A 12-pole rotor has 6 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 6 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 36 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from RCinPower’s published sizes: the 12 × 2.5 mm stator, 15.95 mm bell, 9.1 mm height, 1.5 mm shaft, 9 mm mounting circle and 9 teeth and 12 magnets. Anything RCinPower doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
