The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 1303.5 motor drawn from Lumenier’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are Lumenier’s bench figures for the Gemfan 3028 three-blade prop at 11.1 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

What it pulls
Lumenier’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the Gemfan 3028 three-blade: 112 g of thrust, 3.8 A, 42 W, 2.66 g per watt.
On your quad
1.5 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 998 g with the Gemfan 3028 three-blade at 11.1 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 450 g, 0.7 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What to pair it with
Our reading of Lumenier’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- Lumenier's bench peaks at 11.8 A (5200KV) and 13.1 A (5800KV) at 11.1 V on 3-inch props. An ESC rated above that per motor, with JST 1.25 3-pin sockets for the plug-in leads, fits. (Lumenier infographic, Lumenier product page)
- Props
- Lumenier tested 2.5-inch (Gemfan 2540) and 3-inch (Gemfan 3028, 3035) three-blades on a 1.5 mm shaft. The 3-inch props pulled more: up to 249.6 g on the 5200KV and 258.5 g on the 5800KV. (Lumenier infographic, Lumenier product page)
- Battery
- Rated for 2S–4S; Lumenier's bench data is at 11.1 V (3S). (Lumenier infographic)
- Frame
- Lumenier says it works well with its QAV-PRO Nano Whoop. Four M2 holes on a 9 mm circle; M2×5 and M2×7 screws come in the box. (Lumenier product page, Lumenier infographic)

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Shaft. 1.5 mm, stands 3.9 mm above the bell (the infographic's spec table says 2 mm; its drawing and Lumenier's spec list say 1.5 mm. The drawing also shows four M2 holes on a 5 mm circle on the top). (Lumenier product page, Lumenier infographic)
- Bell. 6061-T6 aluminium, matte black; 7075 aluminium base casing. (Lumenier product page)
- Magnets. N52H arc magnets (the ZIP V2 series text on the same page says N52SH curved magnets). (Lumenier product page)
- Stator. The coils are wound on a stack of thin steel laminations: 13 × 3.5 mm (1303.5), 0.2 mm silicon-steel laminations. (Lumenier product page)
- Bearings. Japanese NSK MR52, 2 × 5 × 2.5 mm. (Lumenier product page)
- Base. 4 × M2 holes on a 9 mm circle (9 × 9 mm). (Lumenier product page, Lumenier infographic)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 5200KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 76,960 | 7,696 Hz | 46,176 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 87,360 | 8,736 Hz | 52,416 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 115,440 | 11,544 Hz | 69,264 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 131,040 | 13,104 Hz | 78,624 |
A 12-pole rotor has 6 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 6 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 36 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from Lumenier’s published sizes: the 13 × 3.5 mm stator, 17 mm bell, 11.9 mm height, 1.5 mm shaft, 9 mm mounting circle and 9 teeth and 12 magnets. Anything Lumenier doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
