10-inch 12S heavy-lift motor
Lumenier TOURQ 3120
A 500KV 3120 built for 12S heavy-lift rigs: on Lumenier's bench it pulls 5,824 g on a 10-inch three-blade at full throttle, drawing 59.89 A, with a 6 mm inner shaft for strength.

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 3120 motor drawn from Lumenier’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are Lumenier’s bench figures for the HQProp 10 × 5 × 3 prop at 50.09 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 40% throttle.

What it pulls
Lumenier’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the HQProp 10 × 5 × 3: 3,315 g of thrust, 20.4 A, 1018 W, 3.26 g per watt.
On your quad
35.8 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 23,296 g with the HQProp 10 × 5 × 3 at 50.09 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 13,260 g, 20.4 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.
What you get

- ESC
- Lumenier rates the 60-second peak at 59.89 A, the full-throttle draw on its 12S bench with a 10-inch three-blade. A 12S ESC rated for 60 A or more per motor covers it. (Lumenier product page, Lumenier infographic)
- Props
- Lumenier tested an HQProp 10 × 5 × 3 on the 5 mm M5 shaft; an M5 locking nut and serrated washer come in the box. (Lumenier product page, Lumenier infographic)
- Battery

Bench data
Redrawn from Lumenier’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Shaft. 5 mm prop shaft with an M5 thread, standing 17 mm above the motor; 6 mm inner shaft. (Lumenier product page, Lumenier infographic)
- Bell. Black. (Lumenier product page)
- Stator. The coils are wound on a stack of thin steel laminations: 31 × 20 mm (3120). (Lumenier product page)
- Base. 4 × M3 holes on a 19 mm circle (the spec list reads "4x M3 x 9mm"; the drawing dimensions the circle as Ø19). (Lumenier infographic)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 500KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 7,400 | 863 Hz | 5,180 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 8,400 | 980 Hz | 5,880 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 11,100 | 1,295 Hz | 7,770 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 12,600 | 1,470 Hz | 8,820 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from Lumenier’s published sizes: the 31 × 20 mm stator, 37.1 mm bell, 38.9 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 19 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything Lumenier doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
