5-inch FPV freestyle motor
iFlight XING2 2306
A 2306 for 5-inch freestyle: a one-piece 7075 bell, a 5 mm titanium shaft and 9 × 4 × 4 mm NSK bearings, 32.5 g with wires, and up to 869 W at 24 V by iFlight's figures (1755KV).
- 5-inch freestyle
- 6S (1755KV) or 4S (2555KV)
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2306 motor drawn from iFlight’s published sizes, not its exact design. No-load speed is KV × 22.2 V, a nominal pack for this version. iFlight publishes no bench data for it.

5 mm titanium shaft
iFlight calls it its strongest prop shaft yet. It protrudes 13.5 mm above the bell.

One-piece 7075 bell
iFlight's Unibell, which it describes as crash resistant.

NSK bearings, O-ring protected
9 × 4 × 4 mm NSK bearings, with iFlight's O-ring protecting the bearing gap.

Curved N52H magnets
Centre-slotted arc magnets set close to the stator. iFlight says they shorten the motor's response time.

Wire protector, balanced
A protector on the base guards the motor wires, and each motor is dynamically balanced.

What to pair it with
Our reading of iFlight’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- Rated for at least the motor's peak current, which iFlight gives as 36.21 A for the 1755KV on 24 V and 51.3 A for the 2555KV on 16 V. (iFlight product page)
- Battery
- 6S for the 1755KV, 4S for the 2555KV, the voltages iFlight gives its figures at. (iFlight product page)
- Frame
- Four M3 holes on a 16 mm circle (the "16 × 16" pattern of 5-inch frames). M3 × 8 screws and an M5 flange nut come in the box. (iFlight product page, iFlight Chinese product page)

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. One piece of 7075 aluminium (iFlight's "Unibell"), φ30 mm. (iFlight product page)
- Shaft. 5 mm titanium alloy, protruding 13.5 mm; the prop goes on with the M5 flange nut in the box. (iFlight product page)
- Shaft lock. An M3 × 6 screw locks the shaft in the bell. iFlight sells the bell as a spare with that screw and a rubber damping ring. (iFlight replacement bell page)
- Magnets. Curved, centre-slotted N52H arc magnets, 14 poles. (iFlight product page)
- Stator. 23 × 6 mm with 12 teeth, wound with single-strand copper; 20 AWG leads, 160 mm long. (iFlight product page)
- Bearings. NSK, 9 × 4 × 4 mm, with an O-ring between bell and stator that iFlight says keeps the bearing gap tight. (iFlight product page)
- Base. Four M3 holes on a 16 mm circle, the "16 × 16" pattern of 5-inch frames. (iFlight Chinese product page)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1755KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 25,974 | 3,030 Hz | 18,182 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 29,484 | 3,440 Hz | 20,639 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 38,961 | 4,545 Hz | 27,273 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 44,226 | 5,160 Hz | 30,958 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from iFlight’s published sizes: the 23 × 6 mm stator, 30 mm bell, 5 mm shaft, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything iFlight doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
