3 to 4-inch FPV motor
iFlight XING2 1806
A 20.2 g motor with a 1.5 mm shaft that iFlight benches on a 5-inch tri-blade at 24 V: a one-piece bell, NSK 9 × 4 × 4 bearings, and 807 g of pull per motor at full throttle.
- 5-inch props on 6S, as iFlight tested it
- props that fit a 1.5 mm shaft or bolt to four M2 holes on a 6 mm circle
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 1806 motor drawn from iFlight’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are iFlight’s bench figures for the 5030-3 prop at 24 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

What it pulls
iFlight’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the 5030-3: 495 g of thrust, 10.2 A, 245 W, 2.02 g per watt.
On your quad
5.0 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 3,228 g with the 5030-3 at 24 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 1,980 g, 3.0 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

- Props
- iFlight tested it with a 5030 tri-blade (5 × 3): 385 g at half throttle and 807 g at full. Props go on the 1.5 mm shaft or bolt to the four M2 holes on a 6 mm circle. (iFlight 2500KV test report, iFlight Chinese product page)
- Battery
- 6S. iFlight gives 24 V input. (iFlight product page)
- Frame
- Four M2 holes on a 12 mm circle (sold as "12 × 12"). Four M2×5 and two M2×7 screws come in the box. (iFlight product page, iFlight 2500KV test report)

Bench data
Redrawn from iFlight’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. One piece (iFlight's "Unibell"), φ25.2 mm, with five spokes on top that fork toward the rim. (iFlight 2500KV test report)
- Prop mount. Four M2 holes on a 6 mm circle round the shaft. (iFlight Chinese product page)
- Shaft. 1.5 mm titanium alloy, protruding 4 mm. (iFlight product page)
- Magnets. Curved, centre-slotted N52H arc magnets, 14 poles. (iFlight product page)
- Stator. 18 × 6 mm with 12 teeth, wound with single-strand copper; 20 AWG leads, 160 mm long. (iFlight 2500KV test report)
- Bearings. NSK, 9 × 4 × 4 mm. (iFlight product page)
- Base. 2.5 mm thick, with four M2 holes on a 12 mm circle. (iFlight 2500KV test report)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 2500KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 37,000 | 4,317 Hz | 25,900 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 42,000 | 4,900 Hz | 29,400 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 55,500 | 6,475 Hz | 38,850 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 63,000 | 7,350 Hz | 44,100 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from iFlight’s published sizes: the 18 × 6 mm stator, 25.2 mm bell, 16.3 mm height, 1.5 mm shaft, 12 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything iFlight doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
