1S tiny whoop motor
iFlight XING NANO 0803
A 2.1 g motor for 1S tiny whoops: 17000KV or 22000KV, NSK bearings, a plug on its leads, and 35.9 g (17000KV) or 46.6 g (22000KV) of pull per motor on a Gemfan 40 mm prop on iFlight's 4 V bench.
- 1S tiny whoops
- 40 mm props, as on iFlight's bench
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 0803 motor drawn from iFlight’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are iFlight’s bench figures for the Gemfan 40 mm prop at 4 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 60% throttle.

What it pulls
iFlight’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the Gemfan 40 mm: 11 g of thrust, 1.1 A, 4 W, 2.52 g per watt.
On your quad
0.2 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 144 g with the Gemfan 40 mm at 4 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 44 g, 0.1 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.
What you get for $13.99
2.1 g with wires
On an 8 × 3 mm stator with a φ10.8 mm bell.
Two KVs

Bench data
Redrawn from iFlight’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. Segmented, in iFlight's words, φ10.8 mm, with ten oval windows in the top, long and short in turn. (iFlight product page, iFlight 17000KV test report)
- Shaft. 1 mm, protruding 5.5 mm above the bell. (iFlight product page, iFlight 17000KV test report)
- Magnets. Curved N52H magnets, 12 poles. (iFlight product page)
- Stator. 8 × 3 mm with 9 teeth, wound with single-strand copper; 30 AWG leads, 30 mm long, with an SH1.25 plug. (iFlight product page, iFlight 17000KV test report)
- Bearings. NSK, φ4 × φ2 mm; iFlight's sheets print the width as 15, which can't be right in a motor 8.9 mm tall. (iFlight 17000KV test report)
- Base. Three arms with M1.4 holes on a 6.6 mm circle. (iFlight 17000KV test report)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 17000KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 251,600 | 25,160 Hz | 150,960 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 285,600 | 28,560 Hz | 171,360 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 377,400 | 37,740 Hz | 226,440 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 428,400 | 42,840 Hz | 257,040 |
A 12-pole rotor has 6 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 6 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 36 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from iFlight’s published sizes: the 8 × 3 mm stator, 10.8 mm bell, 8.9 mm height, 1 mm shaft, 6.6 mm mounting circle and 9 teeth and 12 magnets. Anything iFlight doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
