7-inch long-range FPV motor
iFlight XING 2806.5
A 2806.5 that iFlight designed for 7- and 8-inch quads: a one-piece 7075 bell, NSK 11 × 5 × 5 bearings, and 2.3 kg of pull per motor on a 7-inch tri-blade on iFlight's 24 V bench (1300KV).
- 7- and 8-inch quads
- 6S
- 7-inch and 8-inch tri-blade props
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2806.5 motor drawn from iFlight’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are iFlight’s bench figures for the HQ 8 × 4 × 3 prop at 24 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

- with wires; 53.3 g for 1800KV

What it pulls
iFlight’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the HQ 8 × 4 × 3: 1,363 g of thrust, 17.2 A, 411 W, 3.32 g per watt.
On your quad
15.4 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 10,040 g with the HQ 8 × 4 × 3 at 24 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 5,452 g, 8.4 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.
What you get for $33.99

- ESC
- Rated for at least the motor's peak current: 48 A for the 1300KV on an 8-inch tri-blade and 72 A for the 1800KV on a 7-inch prop, both at 24 V. The 1800KV draws far more on 7-inch props than the 1300KV. (iFlight 1300KV test report, iFlight 1800KV test report)
- Props
- iFlight tested the 1300KV with an HQ 7 × 4 × 3 (2319 g at full throttle), an HQ 8 × 4 × 3 (2510 g) and a Gemfan 7040 (2058 g). The 7040 was the most efficient at half throttle, 4.2 g/W. (iFlight 1300KV test report)
- Battery
- 6S. iFlight gives 24 V input for both KVs. (iFlight product page)
- Frame
- Four M3 holes on a 19 mm circle (sold as "19 × 19"). Four M3 × 8 screws and an M5 flange nut come in the box. (iFlight product page, iFlight 1300KV test report)

Redrawn from iFlight’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. One piece of 7075 aluminium (iFlight's "Unibell"), φ35.06 mm. (iFlight product page)
- Shaft. 5 mm titanium alloy with an M5 thread, protruding 15.5 mm; a hex bolt set screw holds it. (iFlight 1300KV test report)
- Magnets. Curved N52H arc magnets, 14 poles. (iFlight product page)
- Stator. 28 × 6.5 mm with 12 teeth, wound with single-strand copper; 18 AWG leads, 265 mm long. (iFlight product page)
- Bearings. NSK, 11 × 5 × 5 mm. (iFlight product page)
- Base. 7075 aluminium, with four M3 holes on a 19 mm circle. (iFlight product page)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1300KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 19,240 | 2,245 Hz | 13,468 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 21,840 | 2,548 Hz | 15,288 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 28,860 | 3,367 Hz | 20,202 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 32,760 | 3,822 Hz | 22,932 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from iFlight’s published sizes: the 28 × 6.5 mm stator, 35.06 mm bell, 21.3 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 19 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything iFlight doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
