5-inch ultralight and toothpick FPV motor
iFlight XING 2005
A 21 g motor iFlight made for ultralight and toothpick 5-inch builds of about 250 g: 1900KV for 6S, a 1.5 mm titanium-alloy shaft, and 1,030 g of pull on a 5-inch tri-blade on iFlight's 24 V bench.
- Ultralight and toothpick 5-inch builds of about 250 g
- 6S
- 5-inch props for a 1.5 mm shaft, such as iFlight's Nazgul 5030
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2005 motor drawn from iFlight’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are iFlight’s bench figures for the 5 × 3 × 3 prop at 24 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

What it pulls
iFlight’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the 5 × 3 × 3: 515 g of thrust, 6.8 A, 164 W, 3.13 g per watt.
On your quad
6.3 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 4,120 g with the 5 × 3 × 3 at 24 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 2,060 g, 3.2 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What to pair it with
Our reading of iFlight’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- Rated for at least 19.4 A, the peak iFlight measured at full throttle on a 5 × 3 tri-blade at 24 V. An ESC rated 25 A or more leaves room to spare. (iFlight 1900KV test report)
- Props
- iFlight tested it with a 5 × 3 tri-blade: 367 g at half throttle and 1,030 g at full. The page suggests iFlight's Nazgul 5030 or any other prop made for a 1.5 mm shaft. (iFlight product page, iFlight 1900KV test report)
- Battery
- 6S for the 1900KV; iFlight's bench run is at 24 V. The description pairs 4S with a 2550KV version that the page doesn't sell. (iFlight product page, iFlight 1900KV test report)
- Frame
- Four M2 holes on a 12 mm circle (sold as 12 × 12). Four M2×5 and four M2×7 screws come in the box. (iFlight product page, iFlight 1900KV test report)

Bench data
Redrawn from iFlight’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. Segmented, in iFlight's words: φ26.8 mm and 10.55 mm tall, with 18 windows round the top and two M2 holes 6 mm apart in the hub. (iFlight 1900KV test report)
- Shaft. Titanium alloy, 1.5 mm where it protrudes 4 mm above the bell and 3 mm inside the motor. (iFlight product page)
- Magnets. Curved N52H magnets, 14 poles. (iFlight product page)
- Stator. 20 × 5 mm with 12 teeth, wound with single-strand copper; 24 AWG leads, 160 mm long. (iFlight 1900KV test report)
- Bearings. NSK, 8 × 3 × 4 mm. (iFlight product page)
- Base. 2 mm thick, with four M2 holes on a 12 mm circle. (iFlight 1900KV test report)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1900KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 28,120 | 3,281 Hz | 19,684 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 31,920 | 3,724 Hz | 22,344 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 42,180 | 4,921 Hz | 29,526 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 47,880 | 5,586 Hz | 33,516 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from iFlight’s published sizes: the 20 × 5 mm stator, 26.8 mm bell, 15 mm height, 1.5 mm shaft, 12 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything iFlight doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
