5-inch FPV freestyle motor
Hypetrain Let's Fly RC 2306
A 5-inch freestyle motor designed by Let’s Fly RC: 23 × 6 mm stator, 30 g, EZO 684ZZ bearings, and 1870KV for 3S–6S in its V2 form.
- 5-inch freestyle
- 6S (1870KV, 1850KV) or 4S (2700KV)
- 16 × 16 mm motor mounts
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2306 motor drawn from Hypetrain’s published sizes, not its exact design. No-load speed is KV × 22.2 V, a nominal pack for this version. Hypetrain publishes no bench data for it.
- Weight
- 30 g
- the same for every KV; Hypetrain doesn’t say whether with leads

Designed by Let’s Fly RC
Hypetrain says Let’s Fly RC (Shawn Morrison) designed the motor to match the size and durability of Hypetrain’s Drib motors, with 6S as the focus.
Uni-bell and thicker windings
A one-piece bell, and windings Hypetrain says are thicker than other motors in the same class.
EZO 684ZZ bearings
EZO 4 × 9 × 4 mm bearings carry an M5 shaft.

Replacement bells
Hypetrain sells replacement bells for the V2 1870KV.

What to pair it with
Our reading of Hypetrain’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- Battery
- 6S for the 1870KV and 1850KV, which Hypetrain rates for 3S–6S; 4S for the 2700KV, rated 3S–4S. (Hypetrain V2 product page, Hypetrain 1850KV page, Hypetrain 2700KV page)
- Frame
- A 16 × 16 mm screw pattern; Hypetrain says the V2 suits 5-inch freestyle frames. (Hypetrain V2 product page)

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. One-piece uni-bell; replacement bells are sold for the V2. (Hypetrain 1850KV page, Hypetrain replacement bell page)
- Stator. 23 × 6 mm, with thicker windings than other motors in its class, Hypetrain says. (Hypetrain V2 product page, Hypetrain 1850KV page)
- Bearings. EZO 684ZZ, 4 × 9 × 4 mm. (Hypetrain V2 product page)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1870KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 27,676 | 3,229 Hz | 19,373 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 31,416 | 3,665 Hz | 21,991 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 41,514 | 4,843 Hz | 29,060 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 47,124 | 5,498 Hz | 32,987 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from Hypetrain’s published sizes: the 23 × 6 mm stator, 5 mm shaft and 16 mm mounting circle. Anything Hypetrain doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
