5-inch FPV freestyle motor
Hypetrain Cricket V3 2307
Cricket FPV’s Hypetrain freestyle motor: a slightly taller 23 × 7 mm stator at 1850KV, under a one-piece bell plated in 24K gold.
- 5-inch freestyle
- 16 × 16 mm motor mounts
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2307 motor drawn from Hypetrain’s published sizes, not its exact design. No-load speed is KV × 22.2 V, a nominal pack for this version. Hypetrain publishes no bench data for it.

Made with Cricket FPV
Hypetrain says Corey Tapp (Cricket FPV) spent months testing prototypes, and built the motor for flow, speed and precision.

Taller 2307 stator
The 23 × 7 mm stator is slightly taller than others in its class, which Hypetrain says adds a little power while keeping torque.

24K gold plating
The one-piece bell and the base are plated in real 24K gold, Hypetrain says. Gold and platinum (silver) spare bells are sold separately.

Open-bottom base
Like other Hypetrain motors it has an open-bottom base for airflow and lower weight, on a 16 × 16 mm screw layout.

What to pair it with
Our reading of Hypetrain’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- Hypetrain says the leads are long enough to solder straight to a 4-in-1 ESC; the solder-free version plugs in with MR30 instead. (Hypetrain product page, Hypetrain solder-free page)
- Frame
- A standard 16 × 16 mm screw layout and a 5 mm steel shaft. (Hypetrain product page)

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. One-piece, plated in 24K gold like the base; spare bells come in gold or platinum. (Hypetrain product page, Hypetrain gold bell page, Hypetrain platinum bell page)
- Shaft. Steel, 5 mm. (Hypetrain product page)
- Magnets. 52H curved magnets. (Hypetrain product page)
- Bearings. Japanese ISC 684ZZ. (Hypetrain product page)
- Base. Open-bottom, for airflow and lower weight; 16 × 16 mm screw layout. (Hypetrain product page)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1850KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 27,380 | 3,194 Hz | 19,166 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 31,080 | 3,626 Hz | 21,756 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 41,070 | 4,792 Hz | 28,749 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 46,620 | 5,439 Hz | 32,634 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from Hypetrain’s published sizes: the 23 × 7 mm stator, 5 mm shaft and 16 mm mounting circle. Anything Hypetrain doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
