1.6 to 2-inch 1S–2S micro FPV motor
HGLRC SPECTER 1003
A 3.35 g 1003 for 75 mm whoops and toothpicks: on HGLRC’s 2S bench the 10000KV pulled up to 151 g on a GF65mm×2, drawing 9 A.

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 1003 motor drawn from HGLRC’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are HGLRC’s bench figures for the GF65mm*2 prop at 7.4 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

What it pulls
HGLRC’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the GF65mm*2: 82 g of thrust, 3.6 A, 27 W, 3.51 g per watt.
On your quad
0.9 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 604 g with the GF65mm*2 at 7.4 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 329 g, 0.5 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What to pair it with
Our reading of HGLRC’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- HGLRC asks for an ESC over 5 A and rates the motor at 11.5 A. Its tables peak at 10.8 A (EMAX2035×4, 7.4 V), so a 12 A ESC covers every prop HGLRC tested. (HGLRC product page, HGLRC spec image, HGLRC efficacy table)
- Props
- 1.6 to 2-inch. At full throttle on 2S the GF45mm×2 and GF2015R×2 gave the most thrust per watt (2.61 and 2.57 g/W); the EMAX2035×4 and GF2023R×3 drew over 10 A for 130 g and 125 g. (HGLRC product page, HGLRC efficacy table)
- Battery
- 1S–2S. HGLRC’s tables are all at 7.4 V. (HGLRC spec image, HGLRC efficacy table)
- Frame
- Three M1.4 holes on a 6.6 mm circle; HGLRC says it suits 75 mm whoops and toothpicks. Four M1.4 screws come in the box. (HGLRC product page, HGLRC spec image)

Bench data
Redrawn from HGLRC’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. One-piece 7075 aluminium rotor, anodised in two colours. (HGLRC product page)
- Magnets. Customised N52H arc magnets. (HGLRC product page, HGLRC spec image)
- Stator. 9N12P on Kawasaki 1200 silicon-steel laminations, wound with 200° high-temperature copper wire. (HGLRC product page, HGLRC spec image)
- Shaft and bearings. Alloy-steel shaft on NMB bearings. (HGLRC product page, HGLRC spec image)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 10000KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 148,000 | 14,800 Hz | 88,800 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 168,000 | 16,800 Hz | 100,800 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 222,000 | 22,200 Hz | 133,200 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 252,000 | 25,200 Hz | 151,200 |
A 12-pole rotor has 6 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 6 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 36 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from HGLRC’s published sizes: the 10 × 3 mm stator, 13.59 mm bell, 8.25 mm height, 1.5 mm shaft, 6.6 mm mounting circle and 9 teeth and 12 magnets. Anything HGLRC doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
