4 to 5-inch FPV racing motor
GEPRC SPEEDX2 2207
A 32.4 g 2207 GEPRC built for 4 to 5-inch racing on 6S; on GEPRC’s bench at 25.2 V the 1960KV pulls up to 2,231 g per motor and the 2050KV up to 2,383 g.

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2207 motor drawn from GEPRC’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are GEPRC’s bench figures for the Gemfan 51366 prop at 25.2 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

What it pulls
GEPRC’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the Gemfan 51366: 1,159 g of thrust, 18.4 A, 464 W, 3.12 g per watt.
On your quad
13.7 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 8,924 g with the Gemfan 51366 at 25.2 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 4,636 g, 7.1 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.
What you get for $23.99
About 2.4 kg on 6S
The 2050KV pulled 2,383 g at full throttle on a Gemfan 51466 at 25.2 V, drawing 56 A; the 1960KV pulled 2,231 g on a Gemfan 51366 at 51.2 A.

0.13 mm air gap
GEPRC holds the gap between the magnets and the stator to 0.13 mm, which it says makes the motor respond faster.

Wire rated to 360 °C
The enamelled winding wire is rated to 360 °C, which GEPRC says keeps a hot motor from burning out.

What to pair it with
Our reading of GEPRC’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- GEPRC recommends a 40–50 A ESC and lists max currents of 52.2 A (1960KV) and 56 A (2050KV), from full-throttle runs on a Gemfan 51466 at 25.2 V. (GEPRC product page, GEPRC spec image, GEPRC data sheet)
- Props
- 4 to 5-inch. GEPRC tested Gemfan 51366 and 51466 and HQProp R36 and R38 props; the Gemfan props gave the most thrust on both KVs. (GEPRC spec image, GEPRC data sheet)
- Battery
- 6S (25.2 V) for both KVs. (GEPRC product page, GEPRC spec image)
- Frame
- Four M3 holes on a 16 × 16 mm pattern, with M3×7 screws in the box; GEPRC made it for 4 to 5-inch racing quads. (GEPRC product page, GEPRC spec image, GEPRC drawing)

Bench data
Redrawn from GEPRC’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. 7075-T6 aluminium alloy, CNC-machined in one piece, with a CD-textured finish that GEPRC says keeps scratches from showing. (GEPRC product page)
- Stator. 12N14P, wound with single-strand copper whose enamel is rated to 360 °C, 0.13 mm from N52H arc magnets. (GEPRC product page, GEPRC spec image)
- Bearings. NSK/NMB bearings, as GEPRC gives them. (GEPRC spec image)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1960KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 29,008 | 3,384 Hz | 20,306 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 32,928 | 3,842 Hz | 23,050 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 43,512 | 5,076 Hz | 30,458 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 49,392 | 5,762 Hz | 34,574 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from GEPRC’s published sizes: the 22 × 7 mm stator, 27.4 mm bell, 17.8 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything GEPRC doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
