3 to 3.5-inch FPV motor
GEPRC SPEEDX2 1804
A 13.2 g motor for 3-inch whoops and 3 to 4-inch toothpicks; on GEPRC’s bench the 3450KV pulls up to 757 g per motor at 16 V and the 2450KV up to 799 g at 24 V.
- 3-inch whoops, 3 to 4-inch toothpicks and long range
- 4S (3450KV) or 6S (2450KV)
- Gemfan D76 and D90 duct props or 4-inch props
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 1804 motor drawn from GEPRC’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are GEPRC’s bench figures for the GF 4023R*3 prop at 16 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

What it pulls
GEPRC’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the GF 4023R*3: 354 g of thrust, 9.7 A, 155 W, 2.55 g per watt.
On your quad
4.7 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 3,028 g with the GF 4023R*3 at 16 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 1,415 g, 2.2 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.
What you get for $16.99
13.2 g
GEPRC gives 13.2 g with 13 cm of wire, from a lightweight structure with large cut-outs that also help cooling.

Shaped for pusher builds
GEPRC rounded the top of the bell so that large-pitch props mounted pusher-style do not touch the rotor and run out of balance.

N52H arc magnets
Curved N52H magnets in a 7075-T6 aluminium rotor.
Damping O-ring
GEPRC fits a damping O-ring, which it says reduces vibration and lengthens bearing life.

What to pair it with
Our reading of GEPRC’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- GEPRC recommends a 20–45 A ESC. Its tables peak at 25.3 A (3450KV at 16 V) and 18.8 A (2450KV at 24 V). (GEPRC drawing and specs, GEPRC data table)
- Props
- GEPRC lists the HQProp T76MM and tested four Gemfan props: D76*5, D90*3, 4024R*2 and 4023R*3. The 4023R*3 gave the most thrust on both KVs. (GEPRC drawing and specs, GEPRC data table)
- Battery
- 4S for the 3450KV, 6S for the 2450KV. (GEPRC drawing and specs)
- Frame
- Four M2 holes on a 12 × 12 mm pattern. (GEPRC product page)

Bench data
Redrawn from GEPRC’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. 7075-T6 aluminium rotor with N52H arc magnets. (GEPRC drawing and specs)
- Stator. D21 silicon steel core, wound with enamelled wire rated for 260 °C. (GEPRC drawing and specs)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 3450KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 51,060 | 5,957 Hz | 35,742 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 57,960 | 6,762 Hz | 40,572 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 76,590 | 8,936 Hz | 53,613 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 86,940 | 10,143 Hz | 60,858 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from GEPRC’s published sizes: the 18 × 4 mm stator, 22.74 mm bell, 13.2 mm height, 1.5 mm shaft, 12 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything GEPRC doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
