5-inch FPV freestyle motor
Foxeer Datura 2207.5
A 22 × 7.5 mm motor for 5-inch quads, 1960KV for 4S–6S or 2750KV for 4S, 32 g, that pulled 1.55–2 kg at full throttle on Foxeer's 6S bench (1960KV).
- 5-inch freestyle
- 6S (1960KV) or 4S (2750KV)
- 16 × 16 mm M3 motor mounts
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2207.5 motor drawn from Foxeer’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are Foxeer’s bench figures for the DAL F6 prop at 22.2 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.
- Max thrust
- 2,001 g
- DAL F6 prop, 22.2 V
- Weight
- 32 g
- with 3 cm of wire; the same for both KVs
- Peak current
- 51.1 A
- full throttle
- Max power
- 1,134 W
- full throttle

What it pulls
Foxeer’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the DAL F6: 1,063 g of thrust, 19.4 A, 431 W, 2.95 g per watt.
On your quad
12.3 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 8,004 g with the DAL F6 at 22.2 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 4,254 g, 6.5 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.
What you get
Up to 2 kg of pull on 6S
At full throttle at 22.2 V the 1960KV pulled 1,920 g on the DAL T5046C (43.6 A) and 2,001 g on the DAL F6 (51.1 A) on Foxeer's bench.

Hollow titanium shaft
A 4 mm semi-hollow titanium shaft, which Foxeer says cuts weight while keeping the motor strong, with a 5 mm threaded end for the prop.
N52H magnets
Foxeer lists N52H magnets.

What to pair it with
Our reading of Foxeer’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- At full throttle on Foxeer's bench the 1960KV drew 36.3–43.6 A on 22.2 V and the 2750KV 42.3–49.2 A on 14.8 V on seven of its props, and 51.1 A and 56.4 A on the eighth, the DAL F6. A 45 A ESC covers the 1960KV on those seven; the 2750KV wants 50 A or more. (Foxeer 1960KV spec sheet, Foxeer 2750KV spec sheet)
- Props
- Foxeer tested both KVs on eight Dalprop props. The 1960KV pulled the most on the DAL F6 (2,001 g) and the T5046C (1,920 g); the 2750KV on the F6 (1,713 g) and the T5046C (1,587 g). (Foxeer 1960KV spec sheet, Foxeer 2750KV spec sheet)
- Battery
- 4S–6S for the 1960KV, tested at 22.2 V; 4S for the 2750KV, tested at 14.8 V. (Foxeer 1960KV spec sheet, Foxeer 2750KV spec sheet)
- Frame
- Four M3 holes on a 16 × 16 mm pattern. (Foxeer 1960KV spec sheet, Foxeer 2750KV spec sheet)

Bench data
Redrawn from Foxeer’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Shaft. Semi-hollow titanium, 4 mm, with a 5 mm threaded end for the prop. (Foxeer 1960KV spec sheet, Foxeer feature image)
- Damping. Foxeer fits an aluminium sheet and a rubber ring, which it says absorb shocks. (Foxeer feature image)
- Stator. 12N14P, 22 × 7.5 mm, with a single-wrap winding of single-crystal oxygen-free copper in 260 °C wire. (Foxeer 1960KV spec sheet, Foxeer winding image)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1960KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 29,008 | 3,384 Hz | 20,306 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 32,928 | 3,842 Hz | 23,050 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 43,512 | 5,076 Hz | 30,458 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 49,392 | 5,762 Hz | 34,574 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from Foxeer’s published sizes: the 22 × 7.5 mm stator, 27.5 mm bell, 18.45 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything Foxeer doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
