Ultralight 3- to 5-inch cinewhoop and toothpick motor
Flywoo NIN 2104
A 16 g ultralight motor for 3-inch cinewhoops to 5-inch toothpicks; on Flywoo's 24 V bench the 1800KV pulls 730 g on a D90 prop and 1,101 g on a Gemfan 5125 three-blade.
- 3-inch cinewhoops and 4- to 5-inch toothpicks; Flywoo also names 6- to 7-inch long range
- 4S–6S (1800KV) or 3S–4S (3000KV)
- D76 and D90 props, and 5- to 6-inch props
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2104 motor drawn from Flywoo’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are Flywoo’s bench figures for the GF5125*3 prop at 24 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 50% throttle.

What it pulls
Flywoo’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the GF5125*3: 549 g of thrust, 6.9 A, 166 W, 3.92 g per watt.
On your quad
6.8 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 4,404 g with the GF5125*3 at 24 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 2,196 g, 3.4 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.

What to pair it with
Our reading of Flywoo’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- Flywoo gives max currents of 22.2 A (1800KV) and 36.3 A (3000KV), each the full-throttle current with the Gemfan 5130 three-blade on its bench (24 V and 16 V). It marks the 3000KV run as hot (81 °C after 3 s). (Flywoo product page, Flywoo 1800KV data, Flywoo 3000KV data)
- Props
- Flywoo tested D76 and D90 props, Gemfan 5125, 5126, 5130 and 6026, and an HQ 6 × 2.5 three-blade. At 16 V the 3000KV pulls 794 g on the D90 and 1,142 g on the Gemfan 5125. (Flywoo 1800KV data, Flywoo 3000KV data)
- Battery
- 4S–6S for the 1800KV, 3S–4S for the 3000KV. (Flywoo product page)
- Frame
- Four M2 screws, opposite holes 12 mm apart. (Flywoo drawing)

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. One piece (unibell), electroplated. (Flywoo product page)
- Top. Cut with two rings of windows, with four M2 holes 5 mm apart around the 1.5 mm shaft, which stands 1.2 mm above the bell. (Flywoo drawing)
- Magnets. Curved N52H magnets, 14 poles. (Flywoo product page)
- Stator. 21 mm across and 4 mm tall, with 12 slots. (Flywoo product page)
- Bearings. NSK, from Japan. (Flywoo product page)
- Shaft. 3 mm inside the motor, 1.5 mm where it leaves the bell. (Flywoo product page)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1800KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 26,640 | 3,108 Hz | 18,648 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 30,240 | 3,528 Hz | 21,168 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 39,960 | 4,662 Hz | 27,972 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 45,360 | 5,292 Hz | 31,752 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from Flywoo’s published sizes: the 21 × 4 mm stator, 25.57 mm bell, 13.5 mm height, 1.5 mm shaft, 12 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything Flywoo doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
