2–3-inch toothpick FPV motor
EMAX TH1103
EMAX’s own motor for the Tinyhawk Freestyle: an 1103 stator at 7000KV, 4.1 g, a T-mount for 2.5-inch props and a three-hole M2 mount, with a 7500KV version for the Tinyhawk II Race.
- Tinyhawk Freestyle (7000KV) and Tinyhawk II Race (7500KV)
- 2.5-inch props on 2S
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 1103 motor drawn from EMAX’s published sizes, not its exact design. No-load speed is KV × 7.4 V, a nominal pack for this version. EMAX publishes no bench data for it.

The Tinyhawk Freestyle’s motor
EMAX matched the 7000KV to the Tinyhawk Freestyle’s 2.5-inch props and its pair of 1S HV packs, and it bolts straight onto that frame.

4.1 g
EMAX lists the motor at 4.1 g on its Tinyhawk Freestyle page.

T-mount props
Props fit a T-mount on the 1.5 mm shaft, which EMAX says keeps them on in hard freestyle flying.

7500KV for racing
A 7500KV version is the Tinyhawk II Race’s motor, for Avan Blur 2-inch props.

What to pair it with
Our reading of EMAX’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- Props
- On the Tinyhawk Freestyle EMAX fits 2.5-inch three-blade props with a 1.9-inch pitch (Avan Rush); on the Tinyhawk II Race the 7500KV turns Avan Blur 2-inch props. (EMAX Tinyhawk Freestyle page, EMAX USA 7500KV page)
- Battery
- EMAX runs the 7000KV on two 1S HV 450 mAh packs in series (2S) on the Tinyhawk Freestyle. The Tinyhawk II Race, with the 7500KV, also ships with two 1S HV packs. (EMAX Tinyhawk Freestyle page, EMAX Tinyhawk II Race page)
- ESC
- On the Tinyhawk Freestyle, four of these run from a 5 A 4-in-1 BLHeli_S ESC. (EMAX Tinyhawk Freestyle page)
- Frame
- Three M2 holes in an 8 mm pattern with 5 mm clearance for the centre, a direct bolt-in for the Tinyhawk Freestyle frame. (EMAX USA 7000KV page)

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Shaft. 1.5 mm, with a T-mount for the prop. (EMAX Tinyhawk Freestyle page)
- Stator. The coils are wound on a stack of thin steel laminations: 11 × 3 mm (1103). (EMAX Tinyhawk Freestyle page)
- Base. 3 × M2 holes in an 8 mm pattern; 5 mm clearance for the centre. (EMAX USA 7000KV page)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 7000KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 103,600 | 10,360 Hz | 62,160 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 117,600 | 11,760 Hz | 70,560 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 155,400 | 15,540 Hz | 93,240 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 176,400 | 17,640 Hz | 105,840 |
A 12-pole rotor has 6 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 6 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 36 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from EMAX’s published sizes: the 11 × 3 mm stator and 1.5 mm shaft. Anything EMAX doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
