5-inch FPV freestyle motor
EMAX Pulsar LED 2207
A 5-inch freestyle motor with an LED-lit base: 2207 stator, 12N14P, N52 arc magnets and EZO bearings, 31.7 g without leads, rated for 3S–6S.
- 5-inch freestyle
- 5 to 5.5-inch props
- 3S–6S
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2207 motor drawn from EMAX’s published sizes, not its exact design. No-load speed is KV × 22.2 V, a nominal pack for this version. EMAX publishes no bench data for it.
- Weight
- 31.7 g
- without leads

What you get
LED-lit base
White LEDs in the base shine through a translucent cover; red, blue and clear covers come in the box. EMAX says the light follows the power going into the motor.

Solder pads on the base
The leads solder to pads on a board in the base, which EMAX says makes changing wires in the field simple.

N52 magnets, EZO bearings
N52 arc magnets, EZO 9 × 4 × 4 mm bearings, a hollow steel shaft and multi-strand windings.

What to pair it with
Our reading of EMAX’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- Props
- 5 to 5.5-inch props, per EMAX. (EMAX USA product page (1750KV), EMAX product page)
- Battery
- EMAX rates both the 1750KV and the 2450KV for 3S–6S. It publishes no current or thrust figures for either, so there is no bench guide to the ESC. (EMAX USA product page (1750KV), EMAX USA product page (2450KV), EMAX product page)
- Frame
- A 16 × 16 mm mount; M3 screws in 6 and 7 mm lengths come in the box. (EMAX USA product page (1750KV), EMAX product page)

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Shaft. Hollow steel, M5 thread (CW); 4 mm through the bearings. (EMAX USA product page (1750KV), EMAX product page)
- Magnets. N52 arc magnets. (EMAX USA product page (1750KV), EMAX product page)
- Stator. The coils are wound on a stack of thin steel laminations: 22 × 7 mm (2207). (EMAX USA product page (1750KV), EMAX product page)
- Winding. Multi-strand. (EMAX USA product page (1750KV), EMAX product page)
- Bearings. EZO 9 × 4 × 4 mm. (EMAX USA product page (1750KV), EMAX product page)
- Base. 16 × 16 mm; M3 screws in the box. (EMAX USA product page (1750KV), EMAX product page)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1750KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 25,900 | 3,022 Hz | 18,130 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 29,400 | 3,430 Hz | 20,580 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 38,850 | 4,533 Hz | 27,195 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 44,100 | 5,145 Hz | 30,870 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from EMAX’s published sizes: the 22 × 7 mm stator, 27.7 mm bell, 5 mm shaft, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything EMAX doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
