7- to 8-inch FPV heavy-lift motor

EMAX Pro 2810

A 63.7 g heavy-lift motor for 7 to 8-inch props: 2810 stator, N52UH magnets, an M5 shaft on a 19 × 19 mm M3 base, and up to 3,200 g of pull per motor on EMAX’s 6S bench (1150KV, Gemfan 8040).

  • 6S
Drawing the 3D model…

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2810 motor drawn from EMAX’s published sizes, not its exact design. No-load speed is KV × 22.2 V, a nominal pack for this version. EMAX’s bench tables for it step by thrust rather than throttle, so they are in the bench data below, not on this readout.

What to pair it with

Our reading of EMAX’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.

ESC
EMAX rates the peak current on 6S at 49 A (950KV) and 60 A (1150KV); on its bench the 1150KV drew 59.8 A at full throttle on a Gemfan 8040. A 60 A ESC covers both. (EMAX spec sheet, EMAX 1150KV thrust tables)
Props
7 to 8-inch for both KVs. On 6S the 950KV pulled 2,600–2,850 g at full throttle on three 8-inch props, and the 1150KV 3,060–3,200 g on two. (EMAX spec sheet, EMAX 950KV thrust tables, EMAX 1150KV thrust tables)
Battery
6S: EMAX rates both KVs for 3S–6S, gives their peak figures on 6S and tested them at 25.2 V. (EMAX spec sheet, EMAX 950KV thrust tables, EMAX 1150KV thrust tables)
Frame
Four M3 holes on a 19 mm circle (19 × 19 mm). (EMAX spec sheet)

Bench data

Redrawn from EMAX’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor

A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:

How fast it spins

KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1150KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.

BatteryVoltsNo-load rpm (KV × V)Electrical frequencyESC steps per second
4S nominal14.817,0201,986 Hz11,914
4S full16.819,3202,254 Hz13,524
6S nominal22.225,5302,979 Hz17,871
6S full25.228,9803,381 Hz20,286

A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.

About the 3D model

A generic outrunner drawn from EMAX’s published sizes: the 28 × 10 mm stator, 33.2 mm bell, 24.95 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 19 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything EMAX doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
