5-inch FPV freestyle motor
Diatone Mamba TOKA 2207.5
A 22 × 7.5 mm motor for 5- to 6-inch freestyle quads, in 1700KV and 1800KV for 4S–6S and 2450KV and 2650KV for 3S–4S, with an M5 prop shaft and 9 mm bearings.
- 5- to 6-inch freestyle
- 6S (1700KV, 1800KV) or 4S (2450KV, 2650KV)
- 16 × 16 mm M3 motor mounts
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2207.5 motor drawn from Diatone’s published sizes, not its exact design. No-load speed is KV × 22.2 V, a nominal pack for this version. Diatone publishes no bench data for it.

What to pair it with
Our reading of Diatone’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- Diatone's peak currents are 38.5 A (1700KV), 42.1 A (1800KV), 44.1 A (2450KV) and 51.2 A (2650KV). A 45 A ESC covers all but the 2650KV, which wants 55 A or more. (Diatone product page (archived))
- Props
- 5- to 6-inch. (Diatone product page (archived))
- Battery
- 4S–6S for the 1700KV and 1800KV; 3S–4S for the 2450KV and 2650KV. (Diatone product page (archived))

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Shaft. M5 where the prop mounts, 4 mm inside the motor. (Diatone product page (archived))
- Stator. The coils are wound on a stack of thin steel laminations: 22 × 7.5 mm (2207.5). (Diatone product page (archived))
- Winding. Class H, 220 °C enamelled wire. (Diatone product page (archived))
- Bearings. 4 × 9 × 4 mm. (Diatone product page (archived))
- Base. 16 × 16 mm, M3. (Diatone product page (archived))
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1700KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 25,160 | 2,935 Hz | 17,612 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 28,560 | 3,332 Hz | 19,992 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 37,740 | 4,403 Hz | 26,418 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 42,840 | 4,998 Hz | 29,988 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from Diatone’s published sizes: the 22 × 7.5 mm stator, 28.5 mm bell, 5 mm shaft, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything Diatone doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
