5- to 7-inch FPV motor
BrotherHobby Avenger 2507 V2
A 2507 motor for 5- to 7-inch builds: 25 × 7 mm stator, 40 g with leads, and about 2 kg of pull per motor on BrotherHobby’s 6S bench, on a 7-inch prop (1200KV) or a 5-inch (1850KV).
- 5- to 7-inch builds, including 7-inch long range
- 6S (1200KV, 1500KV, 1850KV) or 5S (1500KV, 1750KV)
- 5- to 7-inch tri-blade props
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2507 motor drawn from BrotherHobby’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are BrotherHobby’s bench figures for the HQ 5 × 4.8 × 3 prop at 24 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 30% throttle.
- Max thrust
- 2,003 g
- HQ 5 × 4.8 × 3 prop, 24 V
- Weight
- 40 g
- with 200 mm leads, the same in every test report; one 1500KV sheet gives 41.29 g with 160 mm leads
- Peak current
- 43.3 A
- full throttle
- Max power
- 1,026 W
- full throttle

What it pulls
BrotherHobby’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the HQ 5 × 4.8 × 3: 820 g of thrust, 12.9 A, 310 W, 2.65 g per watt.
On your quad
12.3 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 8,012 g with the HQ 5 × 4.8 × 3 at 24 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 3,280 g, 5.0 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.
What you get
About 2 kg on 6S
On BrotherHobby’s 6S bench the 1200KV pulled 2,020 g at full throttle on an HQ 7 × 3.5 × 3 (33.4 A), and the 1850KV 2,003 g on an HQ 5 × 4.8 × 3 (43.3 A).

6.25 g/W at part throttle
The 1200KV on a 7-inch tri-blade made 240 g at 30% throttle for 38.4 W, and 1,170 g at 70% for 336 W (3.48 g/W).

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. 7075 aluminium bell cap, φ30 mm, with five swept spokes round a textured hub. (BrotherHobby product page, BrotherHobby 1850KV test report)
- Shaft. Hollow titanium alloy with an M5 thread, standing 14 mm above the bell. (BrotherHobby product page, BrotherHobby 1850KV test report)
- Magnets. N52H arc magnets, 14 poles. (BrotherHobby product page)
- Stator. 25 × 7 mm with 12 slots, in 0.15 mm Nippon Steel silicon steel. (BrotherHobby product page, BrotherHobby 1850KV test report)
- Bearings. NMB, 9 × 4 × 4 mm. (BrotherHobby product page)
- Base. 7075 aluminium, a 3 mm flange with four M3 holes on a 16 mm circle, and 18 AWG leads 200 mm long. (BrotherHobby product page, BrotherHobby 1850KV test report)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1850KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 27,380 | 3,194 Hz | 19,166 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 31,080 | 3,626 Hz | 21,756 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 41,070 | 4,792 Hz | 28,749 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 46,620 | 5,439 Hz | 32,634 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from BrotherHobby’s published sizes: the 25 × 7 mm stator, 30 mm bell, 21 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything BrotherHobby doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
