85–120 mm 4S whoop and micro motor
BetaFPV 1106
A 4S motor for 85–120 mm whoops and micro quads: 6.6 g, N48H magnets and a 1.5 mm shaft, sold in 3800KV and 4500KV.
- 85–120 mm 4S whoops and micro quads (Beta85X, Beta95X, HX100)
- 4S
- 2- to 3-inch props
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 1106 motor drawn from BetaFPV’s published sizes, not its exact design. No-load speed is KV × 14.8 V, a nominal pack for this version. BetaFPV publishes no bench data for it.

- 6.6 g

3800KV on D63 props
BetaFPV pairs the 3800KV with Gemfan D63 five-blade props and says the pair gives strong power with less noise.

What to pair it with
Our reading of BetaFPV’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- BetaFPV pairs it with its Toothpick F4 2-4S AIO (for the HX100) and F4 2-4S AIO brushless flight controllers (for the Beta85X). (BetaFPV product page)
- Props
- By build: 3-inch props on the HX100, EMAX Avan 2-inch on the Beta85X, Gemfan 2540 three-blades on the Beta95X and Gemfan D63 five-blades on the Beta95X V3. (BetaFPV product page)
- Battery
- 4S for both KVs. (BetaFPV product page)
- Frame
- Four M2 screws on a 9 mm circle; BetaFPV names its HX100, Beta85X, Beta95X and Beta95X V3 frames. (BetaFPV product page, BetaFPV drawing)

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. Black anodised aviation aluminium, CNC machined and factory balanced, with six spokes on top and two M2 prop holes on a 5 mm circle. (BetaFPV product page)
- Magnets. Sintered NdFeB, N48H high-temperature grade. (BetaFPV product page)
- Stator. Kawasaki silicon-steel laminations. (BetaFPV product page)
- Shaft. 1.5 mm, standing 2.5 mm above the bell. (BetaFPV product page)
- Base. Four M2 holes on a 9 mm circle. (BetaFPV product page)
- Leads. Three 28 AWG wires, 40 mm long, ending in a Micro JST 1.25 mm three-pin plug. (BetaFPV product page)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 4500KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 66,600 | 6,660 Hz | 39,960 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 75,600 | 7,560 Hz | 45,360 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 99,900 | 9,990 Hz | 59,940 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 113,400 | 11,340 Hz | 68,040 |
A 12-pole rotor has 6 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 6 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 36 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from BetaFPV’s published sizes: the 11 × 6 mm stator, 14.2 mm bell, 14 mm height, 1.5 mm shaft and 9 mm mounting circle. Anything BetaFPV doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
