  • 1S
  • 31 mm props: Gemfan 1208 three-blade for racing, 1210 two-blade for freestyle
Drawing the 3D model…

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 0702 motor drawn from BetaFPV’s published sizes, not its exact design. No-load speed is KV × 3.7 V, a nominal pack for this version. BetaFPV’s bench tables for it step by thrust rather than throttle, so they are in the bench data below, not on this readout.

Version

Sold as the 0702 (dual ball bearings, black, 1.52 g) and the 0702SE (brass bushings, ice blue, 1.42 g); bench tables for both.

Weight

What you get

  • 1.42 g

    The brass-bushing 0702SE weighs 1.42 g (1.35 g without its plug), the ball-bearing 0702 1.52 g (1.45 g).

  • Two bearing choices

Brass bushings on the 0702SE, which BetaFPV calls light, low-cost and durable for crash-prone flying; dual ball bearings on the 0702 for smoother running, better high-speed performance and a longer life.

  • 25.9 g at 3.7 A

    On BetaFPV's 4 V bench the 0702 27000KV pulls 25.90 g on Gemfan 1208 three-blade props at 3.7 A.

  • PEEK screws in the box

BetaFPV includes 15 PEEK screws; it says 12 weigh 0.10 g and save up to 0.46 g on a build against metal screws.

What to pair it with

Our reading of BetaFPV’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.

ESC
BetaFPV pairs it with its F4 1S 5A AIO flight controller. On its 4 V bench the motors draw up to 4.1 A (0702 30000KV). (BetaFPV product page, BetaFPV 0702 sheet)
Props
BetaFPV suggests Gemfan 1208 three-blade props with the 27000KV or 30000KV for racing and Gemfan 1210 two-blade props with the 25000KV or 27000KV for freestyle; it also lists HQ 31 mm three-blade and Gemfan 1219S props. (BetaFPV product page)
Battery
1S; BetaFPV suggests its BT2.0 300 mAh 1S packs. (BetaFPV product page)
Frame
Three M1.4 screws on a 6.6 mm circle; BetaFPV names its Meteor65 and Meteor65 Pro frames. (BetaFPV product page, BetaFPV 0702 sheet)

Bench data

Redrawn from BetaFPV’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor

A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:

How fast it spins

KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 27000KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.

BatteryVoltsNo-load rpm (KV × V)Electrical frequencyESC steps per second
4S nominal14.8399,60039,960 Hz239,760
4S full16.8453,60045,360 Hz272,160
6S nominal22.2599,40059,940 Hz359,640
6S full25.2680,40068,040 Hz408,240

A 12-pole rotor has 6 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 6 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 36 times per turn.

About the 3D model

A generic outrunner drawn from BetaFPV’s published sizes: the 7 × 2 mm stator, 9 mm bell, 8.55 mm height, 1 mm shaft and 6.6 mm mounting circle. Anything BetaFPV doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
