3.5-inch cinewhoop motor

Axisflying C206 V1 2006

Axisflying's C206 V1 for 3.5-inch cinewhoops and C35 frames on 6S: a one-piece bell, 22 g with leads, and 869 g at full throttle on a DT90-3 (1960KV).

  • 3.5-inch cinewhoops and C35 frames; 3-inch and light 4-inch frames
  • 6S (1960KV, 2100KV, 2500KV)
  • 90 mm three- and four-blade props such as the DT90-3 and DT90-4
Drawing the 3D model…

The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2006 motor drawn from Axisflying’s published sizes, not its exact design. No-load speed is KV × 22.2 V, a nominal pack for this version. Axisflying’s bench tables for it step by thrust rather than throttle, so they are in the bench data below, not on this readout.

Version

What you get for $19.90

  • One-piece bell

Axisflying makes the rotor and bell as a single piece, which it says removes seams and improves durability.

  • Three KVs

1960KV for smooth cinematic flying, 2100KV for balanced cruising and 2500KV for agile freestyle, Axisflying says; all three sell for $19.90.

  • Small mount

Four M2 screws on a 12 mm circle, which Axisflying calls a 9 × 9 mm pattern that leaves room for smaller arms.

  • Bench numbers

    On a DT90-3 at about 24 V: 869 g at 19.9 A (1960KV) and 1047 g at 23.89 A (2100KV); the 2500KV reached 1311 g at 37.73 A on a DT90-4.

Our reading of Axisflying’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.

ESC
Peak currents on Axisflying's bench run from 19.9 A (1960KV on a DT90-3) to 37.73 A (2500KV on a DT90-4). (Axisflying test data)
Props
Axisflying's text recommends GF D90-3P, HQ T90-4P or HQ D90MM×3 props, and it tested on DT90-3 and DT90-4; its feature image shows 2.5- and 3-inch props. (Axisflying product page, Axisflying test data, Axisflying compatibility image)
Battery
6S, which Axisflying recommends; the spec tables rate every KV for 4S–6S. (Axisflying product page, Axisflying drawing and specs)
Frame
Four M2 screws on a 12 mm circle. Axisflying lists 3-inch, 3.5-inch and light 4-inch frames, and says to confirm the match by KV, voltage and all-up weight. (Axisflying drawing and specs, Axisflying compatibility image)

Bench data

Redrawn from Axisflying’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor

A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:

How fast it spins

KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1960KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.

BatteryVoltsNo-load rpm (KV × V)Electrical frequencyESC steps per second
4S nominal14.829,0083,384 Hz20,306
4S full16.832,9283,842 Hz23,050
6S nominal22.243,5125,076 Hz30,458
6S full25.249,3925,762 Hz34,574

A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.

About the 3D model

A generic outrunner drawn from Axisflying’s published sizes: the 20 × 6 mm stator, 24.7 mm bell, 16.9 mm height, 1.5 mm shaft, 12 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything Axisflying doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
