10-inch cinelifter motor
AOS Supernova 3220
A 10-inch cinelifter motor designed by AOS RC and built by RCinPower: 32 × 20 mm stator, 170 g, and up to 5,859 g of thrust per motor on RCinPower’s 32 V bench (700KV, GF1050*3).
- 10-inch cinelifters
- 8S (700KV) or 6S (925KV)
- 10-inch tri-blade props
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 3220 motor drawn from AOS’s published sizes, not its exact design. Thrust, current and power are AOS’s bench figures for the GF1050*3 prop at 32 V, read straight across between its throttle steps. Its data starts at 30% throttle.

What it pulls
AOS’s own bench test, one line per prop. Drag across the chart to move the throttle; the model above follows.
At 60% with the GF1050*3: 3,601 g of thrust, 29.6 A, 947 W, 3.80 g per watt.
On your quad
36.1 : 1
Thrust to weight at full throttle: four motors pull 23,436 g with the GF1050*3 at 32 V.
At 60% throttle they pull 14,404 g, 22.2 times the quad’s weight.
All-up weight is the quad ready to fly, with its battery and camera. The thrust is the maker’s static bench figure; in the air it is lower.
What you get
About 5.9 kg of thrust on 8S
On RCinPower’s 32 V bench the 700KV pulled 5,859 g at full throttle on a GF1050*3, drawing 66.1 A, and 5,851 g on an HQ1050*3 at 69.2 A.

AOS RC’s comparison
On an HQ 10 × 5 × 3 at 32 V, AOS RC’s chart shows 5,850 g at full throttle for the 700KV, against 5,320 g for an X-NOVA 3220 700KV and 5,120 g for a T-Motor 3120 700KV; AOS RC calls it up to 14% more thrust than other 3220 motors of the same KV.

Quicker to change speed
AOS RC measured 66,633 rpm/s of acceleration on a 10 × 5 × 3 prop, against 64,566 rpm/s for the X-NOVA and 53,803 rpm/s for the T-Motor, and credits the extra torque.

Over 80% efficient
AOS RC says it stays above 80% efficient over a wide range of throttle, about 5% better than earlier 3220 motors; RCinPower gives over 86% between 5 and 12 A for the 700KV and between 6 and 13 A for the 925KV.

A 6S version
The 925KV is meant for 6S; on RCinPower’s 24 V bench it pulled 5,458 g on a GF1050*3 at 77.2 A.

Optimised by simulation
AOS RC says the design came out of more than 22,000 finite element simulations.

Bench data
Redrawn from AOS’s test reports. Thrust is static pull on a bench, more than you get in flight. Power is volts × amps; efficiency is thrust divided by power.

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Design. Designed by AOS RC and made by RCinPower. (AOS RC 700KV page)
- Shaft. A 5 mm hollow shaft standing 18 mm above the bell, threaded from 6 mm up. (700KV datasheet, 925KV datasheet)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 700KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 10,360 | 1,209 Hz | 7,252 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 11,760 | 1,372 Hz | 8,232 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 15,540 | 1,813 Hz | 10,878 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 17,640 | 2,058 Hz | 12,348 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from AOS’s published sizes: the 32 × 20 mm stator, 39.4 mm bell, 36.25 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 19 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything AOS doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
