5-inch FPV freestyle motor
AMAXinno 2306 Competition Bando
A 5-inch freestyle motor in ten KVs, built round AMAX's one-piece 7075 Lock-Bell and a titanium shaft; AMAX lists up to 2,160 g of thrust for the 1950KV on 6S.
- 5-inch freestyle and bando
- 6S for the 1750–2150KV in AMAX's figures
- 5-inch three-blade props such as the 51466 and 51499
The spin is an illustration: the model turns at 1/600 of the no-load speed, and it is a generic 2306 motor drawn from AMAXinno’s published sizes, not its exact design. No-load speed is KV × 22.2 V, a nominal pack for this version. AMAXinno publishes no bench data for it.

What to pair it with
Our reading of AMAXinno’s numbers, so your build matches what the motor was tested with.
- ESC
- AMAX's thrust figures for the 1950KV draw 46–57 A (the most on 5S with a 6042 prop) and for the 1750KV 40–47 A. A 55 A or larger ESC covers them. (AMAX 1750KV thrust, AMAX 1950KV thrust)
- Props
- On 6S AMAX tested 5-inch three-blades (5040, 5130, 5135, 51466, 51499); on 4S and 5S mostly 6- and 7-inch props (6042, 7040, 7042). (AMAX 1750KV thrust, AMAX 1850KV thrust, AMAX 1950KV thrust, AMAX 2050KV thrust, AMAX 2150KV thrust)
- Battery
- AMAX shows the 1750KV, 1950KV and 2150KV on 4S to 6S and the 1850KV and 2050KV on 6S. (AMAX 1750KV thrust, AMAX 1850KV thrust, AMAX 1950KV thrust, AMAX 2050KV thrust, AMAX 2150KV thrust)
- Frame
- Four M3 holes on a 16 mm circle (16 × 16 mm). (AMAX drawing)

Inside the motor
A brushless outrunner: the coils stand still in the middle and the magnets spin around them. From the top down:
- Bell. One-piece 7075 aluminium Lock-Bell, dynamically balanced, with an electroplated surface. (AMAX Competition highlights)
- Base. Extra-thick 7075 aluminium base with longer thread holes and cooling fins. (AMAX Competition highlights)
- Stator. Thin laminations made by Kawasaki in Japan. (AMAX Competition highlights)
- Shaft. Half-hollow titanium, fixed with a screw; the prop seat has anti-slip spikes. (AMAX Competition highlights)
How fast it spins
KV is the motor’s no-load speed per volt. With nothing on the shaft, the 1950KV version reaches about these speeds; a prop loads the motor and brings it down, typically to around 70–75% of these figures at full throttle.
| Battery | Volts | No-load rpm (KV × V) | Electrical frequency | ESC steps per second |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4S nominal | 14.8 | 28,860 | 3,367 Hz | 20,202 |
| 4S full | 16.8 | 32,760 | 3,822 Hz | 22,932 |
| 6S nominal | 22.2 | 43,290 | 5,051 Hz | 30,303 |
| 6S full | 25.2 | 49,140 | 5,733 Hz | 34,398 |
A 14-pole rotor has 7 pole pairs, so every turn of the shaft is 7 electrical cycles, and a six-step ESC switches the phases 42 times per turn.
About the 3D model
A generic outrunner drawn from AMAXinno’s published sizes: the 23 × 6 mm stator, 29 mm bell, 15.4 mm height, 5 mm shaft, 16 mm mounting circle and 12 teeth and 14 magnets. Anything AMAXinno doesn’t publish is typical for a motor this size, and the bell’s spoked top, the base and the inside are a generic design, not this motor’s. The colours are read off the maker’s product photos. There are no logos or markings: it is our drawing, not the maker’s.
